How much does it cost to remove an ear piercing hole? (photo)

Question

I had them pierced at home by my mum when I was 12 w/ a needle & thread, then had an allergic reaction to the earrings. Got infected, had to remove, they closed up. Had them repierced again at age 20 (one in the same spot, the other in a new), they healed & have been up & down ever since. Right now they are infected once again due to the metal. I'm allergic to everything under the sun, it sucks. I just want the piercings gone. I'm on a tight budget, how much will it cost?

In our Orange County, CA office, repairing a small tear in an earlobe or removing a small hole costs $300-350 for 1 side, $450 for 2 sides.  If the hole extends completely through the bottom if the earlobe or is otherwise very large, we charge $450 and up per side.

Earlobe repair is a very common procedure. Frequently, we have patients who will have the procedure done the same day as the consultation. Typically, the cost is between $450-850 per earlobe, depending on the severity and the length of the procedure. The length of time the ears have been gauged should have no effect on the procedure. As long as the tissue is no longer irritated or inflamed, there is no reason not to give it a try. Gauged ears are sometimes more difficult than some other earlobe repairs since the tissue is so over stretched, but we are still able to create a natural looking earlobe.

Your earlobe piercings are very small. The procedure to close these would be performed in the office using a local anesthetic, would take less than an hour, and involves very little pain.  The scars left behind would be fairly small. In our office at Sound Plastic Surgery, in Seattle, WA, closure of small piercings like these would cost around $300 per side. Costs vary on earlobe closures, and gauged or stretched earlobe piercings are more complex to close, take longer to close, and therefore cost more.  Thanks for sharing your photos!

The  repair of the stretched ear lobe is a great procedure that can restore the ear lobe to a “normal” appearance". The resulting scar is most often very fine.  Care must be taken during this procedure to avoid reducing the size of the air and/or creating a notch/ depressed appearance in the area of the rim of the ear lobe.   It is usually done under local anesthesia, with minimal discomfort and recovery time;  it is associated with a very high patient satisfaction rate. Costs average around 600 dollars (both sides).I hope this, and the attached link, helps.
