I had fractional laser three weeks ago started using new creams and now very red and swollen
Answer: Improving Skin after fractional laser--try ProYellow, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan, prp It can take several weeks for laser results to settle. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care recommendations. PDT therapy and lasers (ProYellow, Excel V, VBeam) can improve redness and inflammation. I combine all of our laser treatments with microneedling, PRP, Cosmelan, and stem cells to improve your color, texture, and tone along with the healing process. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Redness and Swelling This is a challenging question to answer. Redness and swelling can be normal from the actual laser procedure even at 3 weeks post. But, if you are noticing that it isn't until after you started using these creams that the redness and swelling worsened, then this could be a reaction of your skin to these creams. They may be too abrasive or you simply may be allergic to what you are using. Speak with your healthcare provided that you had your laser done with, and bring the skincare products in with you as well to see what their advice is.

Answer: Redness and swelling It is a little difficult to answer your question because I don't know all of the details. For example, did the redness and swelling begin right after the laser treatment? If so, that can be very normal and will sometimes take 3-4 weeks to subside. Hopefully your provider gave you some tips on how to speed the healing process up. For example, I have my patients do frequent vinegar/water soaks since vinegar is very anti-inflammatory. We have them mix one tablespoon of vinegar per cup of water and use this on their face at least 4 times a day until the redness and swelling is gone. However, if the symptoms did not begin until you began using new products, then you may be having an allergic reaction to those products. It is very important that only certain ingredients be placed on your skin after a fractional laser, so I hope you are only using products recommended by your provider. In either case, I recommend that you follow up with the provider and get their opinion.

Answer: New facial creams Thanks for the great question. The redness and swelling you're experiencing sounds like an allergic reaction to the products you're using. I would stop using the products and talk to whoever you bought them from to see if there is something else you can use which won't irritate your skin as much. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
