What can I do for drainage/very runny nose 3 weeks post septoplasty and turbinate reduction?

I got a septoplasty + turbinate reduction 3 weeks ago. Surgeon took a look at my nose 1 week ago, it looked normal he said. Big issues with drainage/runny nose everytime i just move a bit. Walking around, etc. This is a problem i am a semi pro cyclist, when i ride its gets very runny. Its like i got a huge production of mucus from the nose... Surgeon said to stop cycling, and any activity. But thats simply not an option any longer given its my profession. Is this normal? and what can i do?

Runny nose can possibly be caused by allergic or non-allergic rhinitis, but it can also be caused by retaining discharge after the congestion of the turbinate and the swelling of the mucosa subside, allowing the discharge to flow out of the sinus, through the draining port. These conditions will unlikely affect the result at this stage, but always be careful not to blow your nose too hard.
