Veneer or lumineer? One tooth is bigger than the others (Photo)

I would recommend that you get 4 veneers or Lumineers across the front.  This would easily correct the asymmetry with your teeth and provide a great enhancement.  Unfortunately, you are going to continue to stain your natural teeth and begin to stain your porcelain veneers.  I would recommend consulting a physician to discuss effective ways to stop smoking.  Good luck and I hope this helps. I would suggest avoiding veneers completely as unless you did a minimum of 8 it would probably look worse. If you want to keep it simple you could reshape tooth number 9 and add close the space with bonding and have a drastic improvement in on visit.  The uneven gum line could also be corrected.I would suggest an alternative of using the DNA Appliance and Epigenetic orthodontics to grow what is an undersized upper jaw.  Regular orthodontics and invisalign cannot create the expansion you need for a healthy full smile.You currently have a 4 tooth smile.  Ira L Shapira DDS, D,ABDSM, D,AAPM, FICCMOChair, Alliance of TMD OrganizationsThinkBetterLife.com

It appears that the tooth that is longer has also moved outward.  The shifting of this tooth has probably been caused by either too heavy a bite from the lower tooth against it or from a gum infection with some resulting bone loss.   Before having veneers or lumineers, you should have an evaluation to see what has caused that tooth to move away from its proper position.  Then have the cause of the problem treated first.....the tooth may be able to be repositioned with some minor orthodontics, which will eliminate the gap. If the tooth is still too long, some cosmetic recon touring of the enamel may be all that is required to get it even with your other front tooth.  You may find that you do not even need  veneers or lumineers!  But they are always an option after the above treatment if you are still unsatisfied with the appearance of  your two front teeth.  

I would like to suggest a third possibility. I would suggest orthodontics to create a more harmonious smile. It will allow you to move all of your teeth into a more ideal position and then you can do some gum recontouring to level out the gumline. It's a less invasive option.
