Can sex lead to problems after Botox? 2 days post op.

Hi gwenwen, thanks for your question! Botox rarely produces side effects when injected by a certified and professional injector.  However, headaches, muscle spasm, bruising, redness, and swelling are possible side effects to the non-invasive procedure.  Moreover, it is possible to get a headache after sex, also called a post-coital headache, which may contribute to your symptoms.  I would consult with your doctor for more information! Botox injections can cause headaches occasionally. I don’t think having sex afterwards had anything to do with the the headaches.
If the pain continues past a week or so seek medical advice.

Headache is a common side effects after Botox injection, but it should resolve within few days and it shouldn't be severe. Sex is unlikely to provoke Botox side effects, so I think it is just a coincidence. If the headache intensity is improving, you can wait few more days. But if it is very intense and constant, I would consult with your physician. Different conditions may coexist, and headache may not be related to your Botox injections at all. Goodmorning and thank you for inquiring with us. Headaches do happen at times after botox. It isn't necessarily the result of having sex after botox that caused your headaches. I suggest you give yourself the recommended time of 2 weeks post botox and if the headaches still persist please consult with your injector. Best of Luck ! 

Having sex 2 days after treatment with Botox should not result in headaches. If your headaches are severe I would seek medical help as soon as possible. Good luck from New York City

Sometimes after Botox there might be spasm of muscle and headache. Also if there is dehydration and lack of calcium, magnesium, potassium some people get headache and spasm. So I recommend plenty of fluid and electrolyte and also OTC tylenol for headache if you don't have allergy.
