Skin redness and bruise - is there any way to correct this? (Photo)

Question

i am 30 year old mans and underwent rejuran skin injection. I was told that swelling and erythema should be subside by 48 hours. This is day 5th post procedure and I still have a lot of red mark(like post acne) and bruise at both cheecks. It is normal. Are there any over the counter that can reduce this redness.

It’s understandable to be concerned, especially since the redness and bruising haven’t fully resolved by day 5. After Rejuran injections, mild swelling, redness, and bruising are common and usually improve within a few days, but in some cases—especially if your skin is sensitive or bruising occurred—these can last a bit longer, sometimes up to 1–2 weeks.

For now, some gentle measures can help:

Cold compresses in the first 24–48 hours can reduce swelling, but at day 5, you can switch to warm compresses to help the bruise fade faster.

Arnica or bromelain supplements/creams may help reduce bruising. These are available over the counter.

Gentle skin care – avoid harsh exfoliants or active ingredients on the area until redness subsides.

Sun protection – redness can linger longer if exposed to sunlight, so SPF is important.

Camouflage makeup – a green-tinted primer can help neutralize redness if you need to go out.

What you’re experiencing can still be within the normal healing range, but if redness worsens, becomes painful, or shows signs of infection (like pus, increased warmth, or swelling), it’s important to get it evaluated promptly.

In most cases, patience combined with gentle care allows the skin to fully settle over the next several days.
