How long does it take for your teeth to shift? How long should I wait for a bridge or possibly a dental implant?

I just had an upper right molar extracted. It was the one in the center, so I have molars on each side if the gap. Its unfortunate that I had to get a tooth pulled out so young. I'm turning 23, but my filling broke and had a home in the tooth.

Tooth drifting (shifting) can take an unspecified period of time. In some cases it can happen over months and in other cases it can take decades. Once teeth start to drift, you may not be able to get implants and will require braces to move your teeth back to proper position. If there is any way for you to get the implants as soon as possible, you should. Plus, there is the risk of the sinus dropping down and you losing bone in the ridge. Then, you would need complicated bone grafting procedures which can be costly. If your teeth are unfilled on either side, don't consider bridges as the preparation for these will permanently damage those teeth.

the best way to go is with an implant , and you can do it, right away, if the bone height, is ok, or you can wait no longer than 3 months, the 2 other teeth, would not shift, before this time frame, the must important thing to understand, is that its not worth preparing the other 2 teeth, for a bridge, the best technology is dental implants.
