Best laser to remove facial skin stain left by bad jewelry? (Photo)

37, F, Fair skin, 5’5, 118lb. I took my nose ring out about 3 yrs ago & found the nickel had stained my skin. Unrelated - I got picogenesis treatment last fall for light forehead sun damage (NOT for the nose stain, but hoping it’d help both) but it had 0 effect on the stain. She suggested a “tattoo” removal treatment might work better on foreign pigment. Trying to decide which laser - enlighten, picosure, cutuera, picogeneis at higher setting, or other? Any success removing similar stains?

Hi, thanks for reaching out! Yes I would recommend Picogenesis to spot treat the area to see if it can pick up the metal stain.

Thank you for your question! At our practice we use the Enlighten laser for removal of stains from jewelry. For a nose piercing we have used the tattoo setting on the Enlighten with success. Depending on the darkness of the staining anywhere from 1-3 treatments may be necessary.
