Can Invisalign help my lower jaw move forward? (photos)

I have a class 2 div 2 malocclusion and I was wondering if it can be fixed by invisalign and would it require extractions. I am concerned that it will just help straighten my incisors (which are slanted inward) but that I will then have an overjet.

Thanks for your question! It’s actually impossible to say what should be done by looking at the teeth alone. As dentists we should really be looking at your profile, bone structure, and how your teeth fit with your face in order to get the best result. In general if you can avoid extractions that’s usually best.
I will say that if you want to hear all of your options you should see a highly skilled orthodontist who collaborates with an oral surgeon. The result you want can most likely be achieved with the right method. They could tell you what is possible with Invisalign, braces, surgery, and more!
