Because of my job i need to fix my belly button in a way that doesn’t scream “I HAD SURGERY”. Naturally I’d return it to its youth , but I’m willing to compensate for just a decent looking belly button and minimal scaring.

Yes. I do feel that this is happening due to excess skin inside your belly button. Best option is a revision . Cut would be around the entire belly button … resection of skin and closure. It will work.
