Thank you for your question. It's best to follow your surgeons specific advice post-operatively. We typically have our patients wear compression garments on the areas we did liposuction to help the skin and underlying tissues re-adhere as well as reduce swelling. 30 days after the surgery you should be still swollen but basically healed. I would recommend you to start wearing the waist trainer on top of the garment with little tension and gradually increase the tension but also try to avoid too much pressure, if it's too tight it can restrict lymphatic drainage and blood flow leading to more swelling and complications.
