Should you split your dose of spironolactone for best results?

Hello Kk1968.  Usually dosing of spironolactone for acne is a once a day dosing regimen.  The half life of the active parts of the medicine is up to 16 hours.  200mg is the max dose for hormonal acne.  I would continue with the once a day dosing rather than risk overlapping of the active metabolites of the medicine.  It is the total dose at one time that determines how effective it is for you.

However, depending on the side effects experienced, the dosing and frequency may vary.
