I am currently using La Roche Posay Redermic-R. I have combination skin, with dry skin around the eyes. I would like any advice on cleansers, toners, moisturizers etc. Also, is there any way to incorporate microdermabrasion? Thanks.
Answer: Products to incorporate with microdermabrasion treatments Which products, other than Retinol work best to improve the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles and work well with microdermabrasion treatments? At our practice, we always start with a recommendation for prescription strength product known for it's growth factors called TNS Recovery Complex. Every skin type can benefit from this at home treatment as it improves the skin's ability to heal, repair and tighten. TNS Essential Serum has the human fibroblasts in it as well as Vitamins C + E for antioxidant protection.Using GlyPro trio of glycolic acid products by Skin Medica will definitely reduce the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles as well as tighten pores, reduce breakouts and smooth skin. Another favorite is Lytera 2.0 and HA5 Hydrator. These products pair well together and act as a hydrator to boost natural moisture as well as natural skin brighteners to improve the apperance of sun damage.Sente' Dermal Repair Cream is one of our most popular moisturizers and introduces Heparan Sulfate Analog. HSA is brand new to market and is prescription strength anti-age serum to tighten and firm skin. Pollution Shield is Sente' new mineral based tinted SPF which I firmly recommend to all our patients.Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Treatment for finelines you need not get very complicated. use sunscreen every morning and the tretinoin at night. cleanse with a mild cleanser such as Cetaphil. I have found a line from Switzerland to be excellent in treating fine lines--La Peau

Answer: Products and microdermabrasion I like for all of my patients who are wanting an anti-aging regiment to use GRASS on their faces. The G stands for growth factors, the R for retinol, the A for anti-oxidants, the S for sunscreen and the S for specialty products (i.e. eye creams or skin lighteners, etc.). Skin Medica's TNS Essential Serum has growth factors and anti-oxidants. It sounds as though you are already on a retinol. I prefer Elta MD's sunscreens because they are a physical block sunscreen that does not look, feel or smell like sunscreen. Skin Medica also has some very effective cleansers and moisturizers. I like the AHA/BHA cleanser and moisturizer for clients with combination skin.I recommend, in addition to the above, a facial with microdermabrasion once a month. I do tell my patients to stop their retinol about 3 days before and not to resume it until 3 days after a microderm treatment.I would suggest that you get a consultation with a physician who specializes in aesthetic medicine in order to come up with a plan that is just right for your skin and your concerns.
