Can an HIV positive person receive microdermabrasion?

I want to get microdermabrasion, but I can't find any new information about the possibility of a contraindication if the client has an undetectable viral load (undetectable for 3 years) and a CD4 of over 1,000? I can only find information regarding a compromised immune system from about half a decade ago or longer...

Thank you for your question.  There is no reason why a HIV patient cannot have a microdermabrasion treatment.  Please consult with your provider before having a treatment.

There is no reason a person who is HIV positive should not have microdermabrasion.  Any reputable medical clinic will take adequate precautions on every patient they treat.  However, please do make your provider aware of your diagnosis.

ALthough microdermabtrasion is a very superficial procedure some bleeding may occur.  this will not affect you but you need to tell your doctor and whoever is going to do the perocedure of your positive state so they can take adequate protective precautions

There is no reason why you can't have a microdermabrasion done under these circumstances. As long as there are no open wounds on your face or any skin infections you should be fine.
