I had restylane injections on 8/1 on the forehead for acne scar, and into my upper cheeks (1/2 syringe total was used). I went to see Dr. 8/13 as I thought things were uneven. I was told they were fine. On 8/14 I noticed bulging vein & felt pressure & tingling sensation around the right eye and cheek. I also feel like I have to clear a film off of my right. I can't sleep on my right side as the pressure/throbbing is uncomfortable. Should I go back to Dr. or seek neuro-opthamologist?

Pressure and tingling at 2 weeks post injection are not normal side effects. Return to your injector and discuss your concerns. You may want to consider a hyaluronidase injection to have the product dissolved. Best.

If there are any symptoms such as pain, tingling, swelling after filler injections around the eyes, I suggest returning to your physician for an evaluation.  Although very rare, and I have never seen it myself after 8 years of injections daily, there are reports of blindness in this area after filler injections.  From your photos, you look as if you just have some lymphatic swelling and manual massaging and warm compresses are all you need.  It is common to have veins that enlarge after fillers in this area, especially if the forehead injections were placed superfically instead of deep (which is what I prefer for forehead contouring).  If the fillers were used for scars they had to have been placed superficially.  Nonetheless, see your physician for reassurance.  Best, Dr. Emer.
