Filling transparent, darker spot on tooth? (Photo)

Question

Hi! I just god a non vital bleaching done, I'm pretty happy with the result but since then I realized that the new filling is kind of transparent. As a result, the middle of the tooth appear a bit darker as it doesn't reflect the light as much as the other teeth. I included a picture (the best I could do, with a flash light in my mouth to amplify the difference), see the white spot in the left tooth. I know there are different kinds of fillings, would one work better to fix that translucency? Thanks!

It is very difficult to tell with the photo you provided. Try taking a photo smiling without the light or flash.

I use an Opaque filling material behind my more translucent cosmetic fillings on the front teeth sometimes.  This appears to be one of those times that may enhance your result.

Dear corelema, I really cannot tell much from your photograph. Sorry. However translucency can be controlled using opaque modifiers which can be added to the filling material. I would be glad to take a look if you wouldn't mind coming downtown for a visit. Dr. Neal
