Thank you for the question and the photo. The 1540nm Erbium laser is a great tool. I use it for minor resurfacing in the whole face and for treatment/camouflage of scars. This laser is particularly useful around the eyes, where the skin is very thin and sensitive. For mild to moderate lip and chin lines, the 1540 is also great. In more severe cases, a more aggressive approach is needed. For these patients, I use the Infini RF (radiofrequency microneedling) or a high-intensity CO2 laser. The latter can only be used in patients with fair skin, due to risk of pigmentation issues. Infini can be used in all skin types. Best of luck and take care!
The Lux 1540 fractional nonablative erbium laser is a great treatment for lip and perioral lines. Typically a series of 3 treatments separated by a month substantially helps to reduce the appearance of the lines, and improvements continue gradually out to 6 months following treatment. This laser stimulates youthful collagen production deep in the skin, turning on the body’s natural healing mechanism. In my practice, I will often follow a series of laser treatments with a small amount of filler, and I have found that much less filler is required after the laser treatments.Best Wishes
The 1540 fractional nonablative laser is a great option for treating fine lines and wrinkles on the face. It also can help with acne scars. It works well. Depending on severity, several treatments may be needed.
