Paid in full for Invisalign. Transferred far away by work. Previous orthodontist won't reimburse anything.

Hello there,I would recommend speaking with your previous office about transferring your case and all remaining aligners to your new dentist rather than asking for your money back.  I've had a patient relocate due to a military transfer, and my office transferred her case to her new dentist with no problems.  Your previous office will probably need to contact Invisalign to provide your new dentist's information so all remaining trays can be sent to the new office. I am sorry that you are having to face this challenge. It sounds like there are two transitions going on--your move and the sale of the dental practice which you moved away from. I would suggest that you call the state component of the American Dental Association--this would be the State Dental Association and ask for the local Peer Review contact for that area. These committees are local volunteer dentists that give of their time to help patients and dentists work through their disputes without court or costs. Typically the committee will interview you and the other dental office and make recommendations to resolve the issue. Invisalign as well can help as well as you transition. Good luck.
