Why is my butt sore 4 months after BBL?

I had a BBL done about 4 months ago, and now my butt is sore like I've been working out or something. I went to see the doctor who said that everybody heals differently. I also notice a burnt smell when I rub my skin. Has anyone ever heard of these side effects?? Help
