I stopped using Retin-A, when will the peeling go away? (photo)

Question

I stopped using Retin-A due to some personal issues with the cream. I was put on the .1% once a night dosage by my doctor, but only used it for 4 days. I do not wish to continue use of Retin-A or any acne medication, I just need to know if my skin will stay dry or if it will go back to the way it was before use. (not dry)

Cerevae PM is an over the counter ceramide containing cream with niacinamide and I think this will help your skin to heal faster by reforming its normal barrier.  You can use cerevae including cerevae PM with any retinoid without decreasing the effectiveness of the retinoid but decreasing the irritation potential.  Products with retinol are less irritating than retinA or tretinoin and you might try one of these. Retinol has approximately 1/10 th the effects of a similar concentration of retin A.

Your skin will stop being dry within a few days. I would recommend using good moisturizer a few times a day to speed that up if you want, after a bit of cool water first.
