Could my dental etching be toxic?

Today I had my front two top teeth bonded to fill a gap between them. During the bonding process, I had a horrible taste of some kind of solution in my mouth that was dripping down my throat that the dentist applied. I tried my best not to swallow it but I did swallow some. Hours later, my throat still hurts making my stomach's upset. The dentist said it's called Dental Etch. I am scared I had too much toxic stuff go into my my throat and body? Have i been poisoned?
