Hello: If I have existing implants (4) - what happens to those if I was a candidate for the all on 4 implant procedure? Are they removed or can some or all of them possibly be used to secure the denture? Thank you.
Answer: Existing implants can often be reused Upgrading or replacing all on four treatment is common, and if the location and health of the existing implants are acceptable, all that is needed is a new bridge/restoration. A deutsch removable bridge is often the best upgrade/replacement option.

Answer: Best to Get a Consultation It is very hard to say without completing an evaluation of your mouth to see how the previous implant were placed, where they are located and the quality of implant that was used. Typically, I will say that previous implants can be utilized. However, check with your dentist and ask for a full consultation.

Answer: All on 4 Implants That really depends on the type of dental implants that were placed previously, as well as whether bone ridge reduction has to take place. This is a method of hiding the transition line of where the prosthesis meets the natural gum tissue. If your implants do not allow for enough space for the All on 4 prosthesis materials or are in a position that would make the case an aesthetic failure, then the implants would most likely have to be removed which is not uncommon for an experienced All on 4 surgeon.

Answer: All on 4 with existing options If those implants were correctly placed and have good bone levels they can be used. You would need to change components for the all-on-4 system. You may need to have an additional implant depending on the position of them
