What to do about pimples after Soprano ice laser hair removal?

Hi and thank you for your question.  The Soprano is a diode laser for hair removal.  It uses a cooled applicator to protect the skin which is typical for these lasers.  What you are experiencing sounds like a low-grade folliculitis.  Bumps around the hair follicles can occur after hair removal and usually mechanical in nature, heating of the follicle and the hair not yet fully exfoliated. It occurs not infrequently and is more likely when course hair is present. If you develop more of an inflammatory component, pustules and redness, your doctor will consider a short course of anti-acne antibiotics (it would be for the mechanical acne, not an infection).  Right now I'd try to continue to exfoliate.  You can gently rub in the direction of the hair growth each day.  Typically the hairs will fall out within one week of treatment and the mechanical folliculitis (irritation of the heated hair in the follicle) will resolve on its own.  Sometimes the physician will prescribe anti-acne creams or if pustules occur after the treatments, pre-treatment with oral antibiotics can be considered.
