Roller coasters after Otoplasty?

Odd question, but how long after otoplasty could I ride roller coasters? I got my surgery done four days ago and am healing well. However, my family is planning a trip to the theme park in four weeks and I'm wondering if I can participate in the rides? Or maybe just do the ones without the overhead harness? Thank you for entertaining my question.

I would say the average amount of time for complete healing after otoplasty is about 6-12 months.  There can be variations however, depending on the procedure and the patient.

We have seen earring parts embedded in the ear lobe, sometimes for many years. In your case the infected piercings in the cartilage part of your ear should be removed. The infection will resolve with proper treatment, and hopefully you may not get visible irregularities from cartilage loss...

Pictures of your ears would be helpful to give you the best advice, but in most cases, surgery would be needed to correct any asymmetry of the ears.

Best to follow up with your surgeon to evaluate your symptoms and see what can be done to help you. Depending on how many sutures were inserted and the degree of pre existing ear deformity will likely dictate your degree of recurrent protrusion of your ears.
