I used to have an overbite with a gummy smile and after wearing braces (and retainers) for a long time, finally my bite has been corrected but my gummy smile hasn't improved at all. My orthodontist said that I had a "short upper lip" and that I needed a "lip lengthening" procedure. Was she correct? What is the best permanent option for me?
