Why is my head still burning 2 months after Dysport?

I had Dysport 2 months ago and my whole head is burning. Eyes ( I use eyedrops), my forehead, and my cheeks. It gets worst at nights. How long can this burning going on?

The good news is these treatments do eventually wear off.  If you are still having an issue 6 months after the treatment, then what you are experiencing is not directly caused by Dysport.  I would encourage you to talk with your injector regarding what is going on.  I would recommend getting the eyes examined to determine if you have some type of dry eye issue caused by the disport.  Overall, I would recommend not having botulinum toxin treatments in the future.

Hello Yodolog, I am sorry you are having these difficulties. Dysport does have milk protein attached to the neuromodulator portion.  Usually any type of milk protein allergy is seen immediately following the injection.Are you allergic to milk protein?I have had a few patients who could not tolerate dysport due to headache and burning.Generally it does subside once the product has been metabolized (2-3 months).Consider trying a different product (botox - egg protein, xeomin - naked, no protein)Hope this helps.Dr. Shadfar

I have having areally hardtimeconnecting the two, since there are noreports of this and not even a physiologic reason whey this could occur with Dysport.Are you flushing also? Taking any medications? Havingany other treatments to your skin or applying products that ight beirritstiong? Please see a board-certified dermatologist to look into this. If a source cannot be found, l,ease see a neurologist.
