Answer: Pain after placing a crown You really need to call your dentist and get back in to see him. It may be normal that your tooth is still achy after placing the new crown and it may not be. Your bite may need adjusting. Depending on how tender the tooth was before you had the crown done, you may need an anti-inflammatory. He should be able to help you get on the right track to feeling better.

Answer: Crown hurts Most likely the bite on the new crown is high and needs to be adjusted. Also, since the tooth hurt before the crown was done, it might still be inflamed or it is possible the nerve is dying and it may need a root canal depending on how deep the decay was and how much of the tooth was broken. Go see your dentist and have the bite checked.
