Is there a maximum number of sessions one can have?

Hi I want to ask about cryolipolysis . Is there a maximum number of sessions to the same area ? And also if for example I made 3 sessions to one area ; for how long I must wait before doing another series of sessions on the same area?

CoolSculpting can remove anywhere from 25% to 35% of fat in an area during one treatment, depending on the expertise of the practitioner and whether they offer radial pulsed therapy with Zimmer Z-Wave. Most patients need at least two CoolSculpting treatments per area, and some need three. There is no limit in how many sessions you can get. As long as you have fat, it can be removed with CoolSculpting. However, it would be unusual to need a fourth treatment. You need to let your body recover between CoolSculpting sessions for at least a month or two before getting another treatment in the same area. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has been certified by Zeltiq as a CoolSculpting professional.

Hello,Thank you for your question. There is not a specific numerical amount of treatments you can have in one area, but you need to be careful that you stop treating once you receive desired results so that you dont cause an indent.   You need to wait 2-3 months between treatments. This gives you the opportunity to see full results before continuing treatment. This is imperative so that you do not treat too soon and over treat the area. Please consult with a local physician to determine the right treatment protocol for you. Good luck!

Hi,Thank you for your question.An ideal coolsculpting candidate will have sufficient "pinchable fat" that will allow for enough tissue draw into the applicator. As long as you meet the criteria, you should be able to continue additional treatments. If you need additional treatments, it is recommended to wait 1 month after the last treatment before re-treatment. You should expect approximately 20% reduction in the treated area per cycle.Hope this helps!

As long as there is fat under the skin, you can continue to get Coolsculpting treatments to improve the area. Each session will make a percentage of the fat undergo cryolipolysis and disappear. You want to wait at least a month between sessions.Andrew Campbell, M.D.

Many of our patients will start with a series of two treatments, spaced one month apart, to see optimal results in the least amount of time.  Often, after patients see their great results, they will choose to have a third treatment.  As long as there is still "pinchable fat" in the area, the area can be safely re-treated.  Our office has had the device since 2008, so over the years we have had patients who have treated areas multiple times with the same great results and safety profile.  Best of luck!

For most CoolSculpting patients, a minimum of 2 treatment will be required in order to achieve optimal results. Each treatment will permanently remove 20-25% of the fat from the treated areas. The results are smooth and natural looking. Treatment can all be performed a minimum of one month apart. But, results typically take 3-4 month to present. Although there is no maximum number of treatment that one can have, it is important that there is pinchable fat to treat. If it can't be pinched, it can't and should not be treated, otherwise you run the risk of creating an indention. Good luck with everything!
