I have always had dark black, coarse hair that grew a day after waxing or threading. Two years ago I had 8 laser sessions on half my face and neck. The hair still grows back (I shave twice a week), however it is not coarse or as dark. Is it normal for hair to regrow after laser? Could it be due to hormones? Should I get top up laser sessions, if so how many?

No, using a derma roller won't increase hair growth. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best for hair removal. I typically have patients do every 4 weeks for the first 3 times and then every 4-6 weeks for 3 times after. See an expert in laser hair removal for best results. Best, Dr. Emer
