Is it safe to have botox 9-10 days after a Covid diagnosis? The Covid AG test came back negative one day ago. Can Botox affect the immune system and prolong the recovery or trigger the rebound? Thank you!

Answer: Yes Botox can affect immune system in that some people have antibodies that neutralize the effect of botox. Now in regards to botox affecting patients who had covid make symptoms last longer its hard to say we have not done studies on this. Probably not. I would say any sort of cold, even flu guidelines are to wait 2 weeks after testing negative because it is a very inflammatory virus from overactive immune system can potentially create more inflammatory response to botox or filler. Hope that helps
