I grind my teeth at noc. I had very deep cavity requiring antibiotic prior to root canal in my far left bottom molar. I had root canal one month ago. I had crown put in last week. I felt fine until ye is happening? yesterday. Very deep aching/zinging type pain when I try to chew anything hard like a carrot or almond. Reminds me of before the root canal.

Hi:You should not be able to damage your crowns by flossing. Most likely there was excess glue that was removed by flossing. It’s best to go back to your dentist and have area evaluated .Best,Dr. Maddahi
If you can salvage your tooth, it is always the best decision, even if you need to pay extra! If the prognosis of your tooth is good, meaning the dentist would do that to his own tooth first although not 100% ( nothing lasts forever), always go with saving your tooth, if down the future you need...
