Does the Nordlys SWT effect facial hair and the hairline?

I have diffuse facial redness covering the entirety of my face with a couple broken capillaries on my nose and possibly upper cheek. on tuesday I'm going for the nordlys swt treatment but I have some concerns regarding hair that I want a second opinion on. How dangerous is it to use around haired areas? I currently have a beard so unfortunately I wont be able to treat the areas underneath it that are also red without damaging the facial hair and I also have some early male pattern baldness. So I'm wondering how close can I get to my beard line and hairline with it still remaining safe and unlikely to damage the hair. I'm a lot more protective over my hair line then my beard so that's the area I'm most concerned with protecting. A dermatologist is performing the treatment and we will be mapping out the treatment areas, I simply want a second opinion due to the fact that the aesthetician I talked to previously told me it was "completely safe, and wont cause any damage to hair even if used directly over my beard" which goes against everything I've read.
