Lumps on top lip: Could this be from past filler? (photos)

Question

I’ve noticed I have these two lumps that I didn’t always have on my top lip. Looks like they’re getting more prominent. Could this be from past filler? Anything I can do to fix it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Sylvia0907. You can dissolve the lump with Hyaluronidase. The lumps sometimes form when the lips are injected too superficially.

I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation.  If the lumps are superficial product from a previous filler treatment they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.  Hope this helps.

Hi and welcome to our forum!From your photo, I note elevated small lumps at the muco-cutaneous border of the upper lip. How long ago was the last injection? What was the material utilized? Hyaluronic fillers usually last from 6-12 months and then absorb. If you have an unfavorable result, it can be neutralized sooner with injections of hyaluronidase. We do not utilize Radiesse (another filler) on the lips due to possible resulting lumpiness. Silicone injections are not permitted in the US. Revisit your plastic surgeon for evaluation and treatment.Best wishes...
