Hi, generally the body does not reject Medpor. I believe you may have had an implant infection, in which case removal is appropriate.I would not recommend using rib graft for cheek projection, as this is not a standard procedure, and the graft will likely resorb over time. You may consider silicone cheek implants&mdash;though there is always a small risk of infection&mdash;or autologous fat grafting, which is a safer alternative but may require a couple of sessions to achieve optimal results.

I would recommend trying a silicone cheek implant instead. A rib graft can have donor site risks and can resorb over time. They are difficult to carve in a symmetrical pattern. Silicone has been used as a facial implant for years with a great safety record. They are easy to place, carve or remove when necessary.
