Is nioxin effective for hair loss?

I am a 24 year old male with hairline and temporal recession. Does nioxin have any evidence that it works? Have you personally seen it work for hairloss?

Nioxin is a shampoo. It does not treat genetic male pattern balding. You need a diagnosis for why you are losing hair before considering treatment.

NIOXIN ...would never be working in your case ...as you are 24 years male and temopral recession at this age is usually because of Androgenetic Alopecia ( AGA ) .....in any case you will go to your physician and consult him for your future planings ...he wouold most likely recomend you FINASTERIDE ( the proper medication for Hair fall treatment )  your physician can guide for Hair fall and Hair Transplant treatments time to time .... Role of Minoxidil is always there in combination with Finasteride in long term treatment plans of Hair fall .....But Hair Transplant should be considered if there is visble Hair Loss or visible space is available for Hair Transplant procedure ......

Nioxin is not effective for genetic hair loss in males. If you are a male and you are losing hair, your biggest enemy is the progressive thinning leading to a balding pattern. I would suggest that you should see a doctor who most likely will get Bulk Measurements of your hair to determine the degree of the thinning that you are presently having. If the diagnosis is early genetic hair loss, then the best treatment would be the drug finasteride which is highly effective in men of your age and may not only stop the hair loss but possibly reverse it. If you are developing a more advanced balding pattern the the best test to get will determine the Bulk Measurements of your hair and this will show, over a one year time frame, how effective the treatment will be. Once you know this information, then you and your doctor need to develop a MASTER PLAN which will define what you need to do over the years to come.
