How long could burning eyes last after Botox injections 2 days ago?

Question

Had 25ml injection of Botox in forehead around eyes and in between eyes. Ever since I had injections my eyes are burning and feel like something is in it. I have been getting Botox for many years and no side effects. I am afraid it will effect my vision or stay this way. I spoke to dr and he said cannot be the Botox. How long could this last or could it be permanent. Afraid. P

If the injection of Botox was too close to the lacrimal gland, it is possible that it's not producing enough tears and you will feel burning in the eyes. You can purchase some artificial tear drops in a pharmacy and those should help but I would also see an opthamologist for an evaluation. Good luck from New York City

I agree with your injector; this is not a side effect of Botox. If symptoms persist, possibly see an  ophthalmologist or optometrist to discuss your concerns. Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear about your eye discomfort.   I agree with your doctor; this is not a side effect of Botox.   Recommend that you see an ophthalmologist or optometrist to rule out an eye infection or corneal abrasion .
