How much can I have added to my gastric band in one fill appointment?

I had a gastric band fitted 3years ago, I had excellent restriction with 6.5mls in my band. I want to try for a baby next year and on the advice of my gp had 2.5ml removed, but having done some more research (and struggled with the return to no restriction) I want to get 2ml added back. Can I have this done in a single fill, or will I have to have multiple smaller fills? Thanks for any advice!

With what you are describing, it is possible that there is a problem with your Lap Band that should be excluded. It can be a leak, which can be checked by withdrawing the full volume of fluid in the band as the first step of an adjustment.  It should approximately match the recorded total...

Yes you still can drink alcohol after the gastric band.  However, like everything else, you have to do it with caution.  Having a glass of wine with your dinner is ok, but no more than that.  alcohol is liquid calories, if you are serious about losing weight you should consume...
