Cut on armpit + laser. Is it safe? (Photo)

Question

I have my first laser hair removal treatment tonight on my underarms so I shaved for the first time last night (I always used hair removal cream). Because of my lack of experience, I cut my underarm from swiping the blade sideways trying to get a stubborn hair. It’s a shallow cut but I’m worried about what will happen tonight when they Laser on top of it since it isn’t FULLY healed. Is it safe to laser on top of cuts/wounds? Will it hurt? Will I get a scar? Do I have to reschedule???

The minor cut that you are showing is not going to affect the treatment. I would mention to your physician so he/she can evaluate prior to the procedure. I don't think you need to reschedule. As the earlier answer stated, if there is concern about treating over the area, you can treat around it.

It's advised to avoid treating an open skin wound with a laser. That being said, that doesn't mean you  have to reschedule your appointment. It's possible for the clinician to treat the surrounding skin and avoid that specific area. Since multiple treatments are needed, it won't set you back if a small portion is avoided one time.
