Switch to High Profile Breast Implants?

Question

I have 350cc Moderate Plus Silicone breast implants now, with 32 Full C bra size. I love my breasts' width now, but they look small from the side angle. I want more upper pole/ front projection, but don't want HUGE breasts.I'm thinking of switching to 400-425cc HP Silicone. On the Mentor chart, 350cc Mod+ has 12.5 cm with 3.9 cm projection; 425cc HP has 12.5 cm with 5.0 cm projection.  Do you think I could get a better projection but still look natural with 425cc HP? Can HP implant cause bottoming out? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Yes, high profile breast implants can give you more projection (look bigger from the side view) while not increasing the diameter (front view). The size you are considering can look quite nice with most women's frame size. One thing to understand is that each size larger than 350cc implants progressively increases risk for sagging with time. It can help to wear a supportive bra as much as possible.

Both the patient and physician are ambitious.  We want it all: Tight cleavage, no armpit boobs, soft, mobile breasts with the nipple positioned at the apex of the breast mound, no palpable or visible wrinkles or ripples and stability.  The sad truth is that nothing is constant and all things will change with time.  However, you are correct in assuming that if you choose a high profile implant, which roughly has the same base diameter as your current moderate plus implant, you shouldn't sacrifice cleavage, while gaining better projection and possibly capturing the fuller look that you want.  In the main, I think that the high profile implants generally produce a more "stylized" or round look, however since you are staying with gel implants, they are unlikely to appear unnaturally hard. 
It is understood that gravity always wins, so by supersizing your implants, it is possible that they will eventually sag and commit you to either a surgical lift or other procedure to support the implant in its desired position.  Having done General Surgery Residency in San Diego, I completely understand your objectives.  There aren't any guarantees in life, so whenever you're not on the beach, protect the "girls" by wearing support bras, etc.  Good luck.

Hello,
You have it right that higher profile implants "stick out" more. They can lead to a less natural appearance because of this, but as long as you don't drastically alter your dimensions you should be OK. Any increase in size can cause bottoming out, but it is rare unless you change things quite a bit.
