Yes, a man can have a Brazilian Butt Lift and still maintain a masculine physique. He will need appropriate donor site(s) from which the fat can be harvested. Body builders are often logical candidates for this procedure. I do many Brazilian Butt LIfts here in my Cleveland area plastic surgery practice, and doing a BBL on a male would essentially be the same as doing one on a female except that the contouring goals would be different.

Like a body builder who wants enhanced pecs with fat transfer, injection of fat into the gluteus muscle can give a natural, masculine result using the Brazilian Butt Lift technique with Vaser liposuction to remove and then harvest the fat, with viable fat cells transferred with a high degree of success. The outcome goals should be discussed with a board certified plastic surgeon who does this on a regular basis. There are no particular restrictions on a man undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift.

There are differences between male and female buttocks. Male Brazilian buttock lift is simply removing fat from areas of excess fat and injecting the fat for buttock enhancement. You may be a great candidate if you have realistic expectations, you want to improve your shape, and you have enough fat for fat grafting. There are different aesthetic qualities of a woman’s butt compared to a man’s. The concept of a Brazilian Butt Lift is simply transfer of fat from one area to another. It does not imply a specific shape. It certainly would be possible to add fat into a man’s buttocks, while still maintaining its gender specific proportions! I think it would be very important to spend a lot of time in discussion with your plastic surgeon about the specifics of what you perceive as an attractive buttocks shape for a man, but as long as you communicate well you should be able to achieve your goals. One tool available in many plastic surgery offices is imaging such as Mirror or Vectra Systems. These can help to take your specific anatomy and show where to add fat to create the contour you desire.
