About applying minoxidil and sweating: is that a problem??

I tend to sweat a lot and I'm on treatment with minoxidil. Since I apply in the morning, I tend to sweat during the day even just after applying. This is a problem? I use foam minoxidil.

Saw palmetto has no value in genetic male pattern balding. There is really no data on side effects. There is probably no harm in trying it.

Propecia (finesteride) takes 3-6 months to start to work.  you may have some telogen hair loss (stress induced) and I suggest you see a cosmetic physician who specializes in hair loss to do a formal evaluation and suggest other treatments to do in combination.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It may be safe to apply topical minoxidil to the face but it probably will not grow a beard. Speak to your doctor before starting any medical treatment.

Is it true if you stop using Minoxidil your hair will fall?

Minoxidil will not cure hair loss.  It does work but it only works as long as you keep using it.You will not lose more hair than you normally would if you stop using it.  It does not make your hairloss worse.

Using Mineral Oil stopped my Hairfall. Why?

Mineral oil does not "stop" hair loss and it is not a treatment for hair loss. If you believe it helped, it may be just coincidence.

Can craniotomy (incision ear to ear), cause hair thinning 5 years post surgery?

Craniotomy scars will leave an area of no hair growth (on the scar) but it does not cause general hair loss after 5 years.
