yes- this is normal and is a sign it is working- would not worry- even small bumps might temporarily occur
I find that this is normal as long as there is no blisters or significant pain. I follow all treatments with RF and shock therapy to get better outcomes. Dr. Emer.
Vanquish is a non surgical treatment utilizing multipolar radio frequency to breakdown excess fat cells. The destroyed fat cell components are then removed by the body's immune and lymphatic system. During this 'remodeling' process, the inflammatory response can cause some irritation or inflammation ('panniculitis') which can result in some tenderness. This is not unusual and is temporary and casually be managed with warm, moist compresses and anti inflammatory medication such as Motrin or Advil. The new upgraded Vanquish ME when followed with the Cellutone, a device that uses a sound wave to improve blood and lymphatic flow, can be helpful in reducing this discomfort and improving results.
Hi,Vanquish causes accelerated fat cell break down in the field of treatment. In some areas of thicker collagen, the accelerated fat breakdown can feel more tender. If this occurs, I advise patients to take a non-steroidal like Motrin, or Aleve and to gently massage the area three times a day. It is also important to hydrate well before each treatment.Warmly,Dr. Liu
Tenderness after vanquish Is normal, it is actually a good sign that the fat cells are inflamed and necrosing. Massage the area, drink a lot of fluids and do not take anti inflammatory medication such as nsaids as that will reverse the inflammatory process which is important to kill off the fat cells.

Hi Amy,The procedure should feel like there is a warm blanket hovering over your skin. Use of a numbing agent is unnecessary. Please be sure there is no direct contact with the panel during treatment. If there is, this may be the reason for the burning sensation. I would contact your provi...
Vanquish should have no pain, I absolutely love this treatment and get it done on myself. With anything that causes deep heating of the tissue you can get swelling. I suggest you speak to your physician if you are concerned. Best, Dr. Emer
I start my AB etching patients 1 week after on vanquish and cellutone. You should be able to see the results at this time though if someone is a true vaser 4D contouring specialist. Best, Dr. Emer.
All non invasive technologies can form lumps of swelling that will go down within 3-4 months. Massaging the area daily may help dissolve the lumps, cellutone will help as well. This shouldn't be permanent and often gives you a better outcome long term. Best, Dr. Emer
