I’m a 38 year old mom of two kids. I was a deflated 32A before my surgery. Now I can wear a 32B bra. My doctor put 300cc in my right breast and 250cc in my left breast. She said I didn’t have much skin to stretch but now my right breast is noticeably bigger than the left one and fuller. Is the difference because of the amount in each or could it be leaking? I had my surgery last May and I got saline implants. If it’s not leaking would I have to pay to get this fixed?
Answer: Asymmetry If you have a leak in one of your saline implants the implant will eventually deflate. I encourage you to visit with your surgeon who can check the integrity of the implants. If there is no leak you can discuss your asymmetry concerns.

Answer: Differences in breast size after breast augmentation It can be hard to tell why breasts become more and more different over time after a breast augmentation without seeing your before photos, operative report, and initial post operative photos. If your breasts were close in size after your augmentation and the left side has gotten progressively smaller, it is almost certainly in implant leak. If it is a left breast implant failure, the implant should be covered under warranty and your original surgeon will probably want to replace it for you.

Answer: Deflation Thanks for your question! If it is a recent change, then there is a possibility you have a slow leak. I would suggest an in-person evaluation for the best answer. Good luck!

Answer: Breast asymmetry Dear Gregarious582354, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: BA It's not uncommon for there to be some asymmetry in breast size or shape after breast augmentation surgery. This can be due to a number of factors, including differences in pre-existing breast tissue, differences in implant size, and differences in healing. In your case, it's possible that the difference in size and fullness between your right and left breast is due to the difference in implant size. Since your surgeon used a larger implant in the right breast, it's likely that it will appear fuller and larger than the left breast. However, if you're concerned that there may be a problem with your implant, such as a leak, it's important to see your surgeon for an evaluation. Your surgeon can examine your breasts and may perform imaging tests, such as an ultrasound or MRI, to check for any issues with the implant. If it's determined that the asymmetry is due to the implant size difference and not a problem with the implant, your surgeon may recommend revision surgery to correct the asymmetry. This may involve replacing one or both implants with a different size or shape to improve the overall symmetry of your breasts. The cost of revision surgery will depend on the specifics of your situation and your insurance coverage. It's important to discuss your concerns with your surgeon and have a frank conversation about your goals and expectations for the surgery. They can help you understand the potential risks and benefits of revision surgery and guide you in making an informed decision about how to proceed. Best of luck !
