In a freak accident my left central incisor was broken, and the remaining tooth in still present in my gums. Since I can't afford a dental implant, I currently have a flipper, but I'm hoping to eventually get one. I was curious to whether I should get braces before or after I get the dental implant.

Answer: Braces Before Implant
Since dental implants cant move like natural teeth once they are placed, orthodontics must be performed prior to implant placment. This will allow for ideal spacing for the future tooth

Answer: Braces before or after an implant
Done correctly, implants are a great way to deal with a missing tooth and can look and function just like a regular tooth EXCEPT for the fact that you cannot move them orthodontically. This means that if you do the implant before braces you have to move all the other teeth to match the implant position (even if it is in the wrong place). So the general rule is: braces (or Invisalign) first then the implant!
