I know accutane delays healing of the skin but I wonder If that is true with the mouth(oral mucosa). I heard because tooth movement is based on a process of bone healing will my orthodontic treatment be affected. Some sideeffects that were mentioned were swelling of the gums and tooth decay do to reduced saliva is this a possibility? What can I expect or should I avoid one of them altogether? I am starting accutane in a few weeks while in the process of doing a root canal and getting my braces.
