Answer: Guidelines for Wearing a Bra After Bra Rolls Liposuction Thank you for your question regarding the timeline for wearing a bra after having liposuction on your bra rolls. It's important to manage post-operative care correctly to ensure comfort and the best possible results from your procedure. After liposuction targeting the bra rolls, the area will be sensitive and may be swollen for several weeks. Here’s a general guideline for wearing a bra after the surgery: Immediately Post-Op: Typically, you will be advised to wear a special compression garment immediately after the surgery. This helps to reduce swelling and supports the healing tissues. Your surgeon may recommend wearing this garment for a few weeks after the procedure. Transition to Regular Bras: You can usually begin wearing a regular bra again once the initial swelling has subsided and you feel comfortable doing so. This is generally around 2 to 4 weeks after surgery, but your surgeon may advise you based on how your recovery is progressing. Choosing the Right Bra: When you first transition back to wearing a regular bra, choose one that is soft and non-restrictive. Underwire bras or those with tight bands might irritate the surgical sites. A soft, supportive sports bra or a seamless fabric bra can be a good choice initially. Follow-Up Care: Keep in close communication with your surgeon during your recovery. They can provide personalized advice on when to start wearing specific types of bras based on how well your healing is progressing. Listening to Your Body: It’s crucial to listen to your body. If wearing a bra causes discomfort, swelling, or pain, revert to the compression garment or a softer bra until you feel more comfortable. Please consult your plastic surgeon for specific recommendations tailored to your situation. They will give you the best advice based on the specifics of your surgery and your individual healing process. Ensuring that you follow these guidelines will help you achieve the best comfort and outcomes from your bra rolls liposuction. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS Plastic Surgeon

Answer: You can wear bra right away after liposuction of chest and back.
Hi.
I don't think bras or compressions garments have any impact -- positive or negative -- on liposuction. It's all about surgical technique.

Answer: Bra Fat I put my bra fat patients in a specialized compression garment (that has a built- in bra) immediately after the liposuction is performed. During the preoperative visit, in addition to obtaining your medical history and photographs, the ideal compression garment is ordered.
