To the best of my knowledge, botox cannot be used to improve the appearance of proptosis in Thyroid Eye Disease
I do not see how the globe of the eye can be repositioned by botox injections. If the eyelid muscles are weakened then the forward projection of the eye could be made worse.
Botox will not help proptosis. Proptosis is often caused by too much volume in the bony orbit. Usually this is addressed by muscle treatment or bony outfracture to increase the orbital volume space.
Proptosis is bulging of the eye anteriorly out of the orbit. If this is also resulting in lid retraction then botox could be used to cause ptosis (droop of the upper eyelid) which can in effect "mask" or make the bulging eyes less apparent. I don't think botox would help with lower lid retraction however. It would be difficult to predict the degree of droop the botox would produce and if it drops so much that it blocks the pupillary axis you would have a difficult time seeing. This is usually not a recommended method of managing proptosis. If you are in Birmingham, I would recommend seeing Dr. John Long - an oculoplastic surgeon.
I can't think of any action produced by Botox that would correct eye proptosis. This condition usually requires surgery such as an orbital space decompression.
Botox does not necessarily have the same distribution each time it is injected. This may account for the differences seen from one injection to the next, Botox will weaken the sphincter action of the orbicularis oculi which may produce some weakness in the lower eyelid when injected into the...
Allergan groups physicians based on the amount of Botox they purchase. Someone who is a platinum, platinum-plus or diamond level account uses a lot of Botox. They are likely to be very experienced. The more you do something, the better you get at it!
There should not be any problem with you getting Botox and allergy shots. The only problem is that you will be getting a lot of shots (unless you are using sublingual allergy treatments)!
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photo. Botox may help to soften the wrinkles under the eyes. It does require a very small amount and it will help to soften the lines. It will not necessarily reduce all the wrinkles like you might see in the forehead or crows feet region. You...

Botox can thin out the face more, as it is used in reducing hypertrophic masseter muscles of the cheek. If the platysma muscle in the neck below the side of the jaw is injeced to lift up the skin, the angle of the jaw may become more defined, but it won't round out the face. You may need fat...
