Botox is Not Helping my Blepharospasm?

I have been diagnosed with Blepharospasm Dystonia. I had botox injections in September which we not helpfull, the spasms continued and my toplip was affected. I had ten injections in December when I had my next appointment. There is no improvement, actually its worse, I have severe double vision, top lip affected again and as well as spasms my eyes get sore which didn't happen before. The first couple off days after the injections there was a hugh improvement but not for long

The two aren't directly related, Botox around the eyes, and hearing loss and/or tinnitus. I would do a little research (if it's available to you) into your family to see if this is something other members might experience too.

Botox used for jaw line usually refers to wide jaws when Botox is used to make the muscles on the side smaller - to narrow the appearance of the jaw.  If this is what was done then it's extremely unlikely that muscles that affect the mouth have been affected.  Can you provide more details?

Flying after your Botox injections should not influence an increase in migraines. I would recommend speaking with the physician who performed your injections regarding any post-treatment concerns. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

Hello, and sorry to hear about the issue you experienced.  This is not an associated side effect of Botox, and the problem may be due to something else. I would recommend visiting a board certified dermatologist in your area, as he/she will be able to examine you in person and help...

It would be exceedingly difficult to inject Botox in the masseter muscle and have it diffuse to the eyelid (levator aponeurosis).  I would have your lid ptosis (eyelid droop) evaluated by a qualified physician before trying to determine your next Botox treatment.
