I had a breast reduction 18 days ago and one of my nipples is hyper sensitive, dry/flakey, and very red. Is this normal? (photo)

The nipple that is irritated is the left nipple and as you can see in the picture is red and inflamed! I think its probably just a part of the healing process but just want to make sure its not abnormal. It's not warm to the touch or anything....will this go away as my healing progresses?
