I have one Fallopian tube and would love to have this done.
Answer: Tubal ligation and tummy tucks There is no reason they could not be done together but there are almost no plastic surgeons trained to do a tubal. It would sort be like asking your electrician to fix your plumbing. They might know how but they might not so do you really want to risk it? Always seek a board certified physician who is specifically trained in the procedures you seek. In the same vain virtually no OBGYN is trained to do tummy tucks.

Answer: A tubal ligation can be done concurrently with an abdominoplasty. I personally don't know a plastic surgeon that performs tubal ligation. There is no problem however with a gynecologist performing this procedure followed by an abdominoplasty by the plastic surgeon.

Answer: Tummy Tuck and tubal ligation Unless you find a surgeon who is board certified in BOTH OB/GYN and Plastic Surgery, I would not recommend using one surgeon to do both procedures. This would typically work by the OBGYN first performing the ligation with the plastic surgeon then coming in and performing the abdominoplasty. If the tubal ligation is not being peformed laparascopically, then the plastic surgeon may even come in first and raise you abdominal wall tissue to expose things for the OBGYN.If insurance is covering the tubal ligation, then the portion of operating room and anesthesia time dedicated to the ligation would be covered by insurance and the OR/Anesthesia time for the abdominoplasty would be your responsibility. Your plastic surgeon's office would be able to go over those details with you.
